This is the stomach-churning moment a massive python was forced to regurgitate a wild cat.

The four-metre serpent had been digesting its meal when a passer-by found it coiled up in a concrete pipe outside a childcare centre in Bangkok, Thailand.

Rescue crews were called in and were filmed massaging the dead feline towards the snake’s mouth before the cat’s paws began to protrude.

Towards the end of the confronting video, the reptile opened its jaws as it began to regurgitate the fully-grown feline.

The dead cat was then seen laying motionless beside the snake as rescue teams ushered it away.

‘I wanted to let him get the food out from its belly naturally, but staff said that would not have been successful,’ one said rescue worker said.

‘It was a cat that came out,’ added the woman, who had filmed the ordeal.

If the snake was not caught, it could have posed a danger to the children in the nearby care centre, it was feared.

‘Oh my god, this was so scary. I didn’t want to get too close while I was filming it,’ the rescue worker said.

‘It’s very rare to see a python doing this as normally it will eat something and keep quiet in its own little place.’

The snake had reportedly eaten the cat around three days before it was found. It would usually take about ten days to fully digest.

The serpent was reportedly taken to the jungle and released.
