One has finally dried out! Prince Harry’s all smiles as he meets Invictus Games swimmers in Sydney after his first day was blighted by torrential rain

Prince Harry‘s wet and soggy whirlwind visit to Sydney will wind up on Thursday with an inspection of some of the venues where defence veterans will battle it out in the 2018 Invictus Games.

After spending much of Wednesday getting wet in thunderstorms as he launched the 500-day countdown to next year’s games in the harbour city, Harry will pay a visit to Sydney’s Olympic Park on Thursday where more rain is expected.

He’s in town for just two days to promote the games he founded four years ago for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women.

One keen fan, Robbie Burlas stepped out of his office – conveniently across the road from the former Olympic centre – to try and meet the prince, who is visiting Homebush venues as part of his 2018 Invictus Games promotional tour.

‘He reminds me of his mum, Diana,’ Mr Burlas told AAP on Thursday.

Another royal fan, Elise Warnett, had nothing but praise for the 32-year-old, saying he had the ability to ‘captivate every audience’.

‘He’s so relatable and cool and down to earth and so respectful,’ Ms Warnett told AAP.

‘It’s not very often you get to see a royal in the flesh; it’s a very exciting thing to do.’

The Aussie fans have also given the prince’s girlfriend Meghan Markle the tick of approval, with many fans calling her an ‘absolute babe’.

‘She’s a 10 out of 10 – I want to tell him that,’ Ms Warnett said.

Bridget Johnston, who skipped university to see the prince also approved of Ms Markle, saying she was a ‘babe’ and ‘rated their relationship’.

‘If it’s not going to be me, it can be her,’ Ms Johnston joked.

Some fans have already accepted her as a part of the royal family calling her a ‘princess’.

‘I feel like she should be a princess,’ Pauline Allouche told AAP.

‘She’s stunning and sweet and I think he should marry her.’

Many female fans are still ready to throw their hat in the ring too, if things don’t work out with the actress.

‘If ‘forever’ doesn’t work out, I’m single Harry,’ Ms Johnston said.
