She was known for being quite the polarizing figure on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
And on Friday the Bravo star stirred up outrage after sharing a suggestive photo with a nativity scene.
‘Never forget the reason for the season #sweetchildomine #gunsnroses #sandiego #oldtown,’ the 44-year-old had posted, alongside a picture of her squatting over baby Jesus in the manger.
Backlash: Brandi Glanville upset fans on Friday after sharing a photograph of herself squatting over baby Jesus in a nativity scene display
In the controversial picture, Brandi can be seen squatting just over the baby figurine, with her eyes shut and her mouth open.
She had her hands situated on either side of the baby, seemingly insinuating that she had just welcomed him.
Many fans were outraged by the joke, suggesting that Brandi had mocked their religion.
‘Wow, just wow!! You managed to offend practically everyone with this post. Are you stupid or something?’ one person wrote.
‘Calm down’ The star didn’t seem bothered by the hoopla, posting a shot with friends in San Diego around a campfire, and captioning it by telling everyone to ‘calm down’
Another posted: ‘Only someone with a sick mind would do something like that.’
Others seemed particularly offended because they had been fans of Brandi’s, but could not support such an action.
‘I liked you but this is definitely not appropriate and vile. In poor taste and offensive. Go to Church! Get some manners and money can’t buy you class! Disgusting!’ one woman wrote.
Another added: ‘Brandy you look like a nice person, and that’s why I like your page. But this is so offensive and out of control, really make me rethink if you are crazy, or only looking for attention. Grow up!!!!!!’
Unfazed: Brandi seemed to simply shake off the ordeal as she continued posting happy vacation photos, such as this selfie with a friend
However, others claimed to be used to Brandi’s sense of humor, and weren’t offended at all, such as the woman who shared: ‘I’m sure you all know that with Brandi, nothing’s off limits. If you don’t like it don’t follow her.’
After the unfavorable response, Brandi deleted the Instagram photo, though she kept it up on Facebook.
She followed it with a post of herself at a bonfire ‘with friends in SD,’ telling everyone to ‘calm down.’
And she seemed completely unfazed by the ordeal, later sharing a smiling selfie alongside a friend.
