She revealed how she found out about the incident after her son was suspended from school for fighting.
But when her son showed her the video online she realized that he was in fact the victim of bullying.
In the video, the thugs can be heard encouraging other pupils to hit Drew as he tries to run away down the hallway.
He tries to get into a classroom to tell a teacher but the door is locked leaving him backed into a corner as the yobs continue to hit him.
Drew’s brother Corbin, who shared the footage online, posted: ‘These kids have no idea who they are messing with and what he has been through already in his life.
‘I can’t even believe this is happening and there will be repercussions. This is not over, I’m sorry Drew, we love you.’

‘It may take some courage, maybe even selflessness, but it’s infinitely more effective rather than remaining only a bystander.
‘It only takes one person, be that person and make a difference. Drew hasn’t gone to school for a week.
‘This is about getting people to stand up against bullying nationwide so kids like Drew never again get bullied at schools like this.’
Mobile County School Superintendent Martha Peek said more than one student had been suspended and it was ‘more severe than just an in-school suspension’, according to FOX10 News.
In a statement on Saturday, the school’s governing board said: ‘Disciplinary actions were taken when the incident took place.
