Forget deleting photos, app and music.
If you need more storage space on your iPhone, you should download another app.
The hack works by tricking the phone’s software into ‘spring-cleaning’ the memory to make room for the new app.

Many apps waste memory space with their cache of data.
The new trick, revealed by Thorin Klosowski, a hack expert at Lifehacker, effectively gets rid of all that unused data.
As soon as the user tries to install a large app that they don’t have room for, the iOS software will automatically start clearing out any unused app data.
Once enough space is cleared, users can simply cancel the download of the new app, or delete it after it’s been installed.
By heading over to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage > Available, users can see their storage levels going up and down.
The size of each app will gradually go down as the software clears out more unused data.
Lifehacker suggests using Hearthstone, which is a large app, at 1.89GB, but which is free to download.
‘Go ahead and cancel the Hearthstone download after the space is freed up or delete it when it’s finished downloading,’ said Thorin Klosowski at Lifehacker.
‘Doing this, I went from 700MB available to 2.29GB’.

In April, a similar trick was revealed involving renting a film with a large file size from iTunes.
Users can check their current used and available storage space by going to Settings > General and Storage and iCloud Usage
However, this particular method of freeing up more storage space doesn’t work with iOS 10 – Apple’s latest software, which was released in September.
It’s possible that future versions of the iOS may not allow the new trick to work, but for now, it’s a free way of grabbing some extra storage space.
To free up even more space, iPhone users can check how much storage each of their apps is using by heading over to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud Usage >Manage Storage.
Any unused apps that are using up lots of memory can simply be deleted.
